Dear reader,
If you have made it this far, I want to say thank you. What a pleasure it has been to discuss my journey of creating this e-portfolio as well as walking you through my journey of achieving a good life. This season in life has been very strange and hectic due to the Corona Virus and online learning. Although I have been stuck inside my house for the last 6 months, I have still been able to expand my mind through reading and writing as well as go on new adventures. I hope that through this eP you were also able to learn and experience new ideas.
When beginning the brainstorm for my e-portfolio, I knew that I wanted to incorporate nature in one way or another. I was able to see my final project develop into something I am very proud of and I attribute my construction to Professor Sinclair. Throughout the semester, she challenged me to open my mind and express my beliefs in any way I saw fit, and I am very thankful for her encouragement. I have received some of the most valuable information from this class and I was able to share some of my main takeaways with you. My original idea of comparing a good life to a hike seemed farfetched, but now that I have all of my sources compiled, I see that it fits perfectly. Life is not a straight shot. There are many twists, turns, surprises, roadblocks, hardships, laughs, cries, and sweet memories. I carefully picked my resources for this e-portfolio to reflect the sporadic changes in life as well as compare them to the path someone would take when embarking on a hike. Although we may feel comfortable with where we are in life, there is always an opportunity to step out of that comfort zone and grow. Through creating this eP, I was able to push myself into a role I am not so familiar with; that of a designer. While I have been writing for many years, I have never been tasked with creating a visual project such as this. The prosses has taught me that I am capable of more than I think. I learned how to devise a plan and incorporate a vast arrangement of resources to back my theme analytically. I learned how to express my inner thoughts and emotions onto a page in a coherent way that will persuade and guide an audience. I learned a lot about myself that will be applicable later on in life throughout my professional career as an engineer. Although I can be critical of my work at times, I do not think I would change the way I composed this e-portfolio. I believe this is the best work I could have done because it came from my heart with the intentions of captivating an audience. Although I have done similar writing for this class, the work I created for this eP is different because it is professionally addressed, to you.
With that being said, I hope that you have enjoyed exploring my e-portfolio regarding my opinion on what a good life truly is. I hope that you learned from my writing and resource selection and are able to walk away with a new perspective on what life can be. Thank you for spending your time with me, it has been a pleasure.
Sincerely,
